Dear Current & Future Supporters,

It’s that time of year again when we come before you with a grateful heart and hat-in-hand to ask for your support in the coming year.  Your gifts have enabled us to provide programs that have enriched and motivated our students to achieve great things. If you haven’t yet chosen to invest with us we hope you will add us to your giving plan in the coming year.  Every dollar counts.

Why do we exist?

We exist to initiate and support high impact educational programs in partnership with Indian River County schools that otherwise would not be funded or initiated.

Here are three program examples:

Indian River Regional Science & Engineering Fair This annual event gives hundreds of children the opportunity to have an up-close and personal experience with science and engineering.  This is a place where we can see and feel a great future for our country 500 students served annually.

The Sneaker Exchange

This is a field trip to Shoe Carnival where disadvantaged kids get a brand new pair of sneakers for FREE in the fall and winter semesters.  Every elementary school participates. As a kid, how happy were you when you got a new pair of sneakers? Times that feeling by 10x for these kids.
640  students served annually.

STEP into Kindergarten

This program helps disadvantaged Pre-K students make a smooth transition from home to the classroom enabling them to get a faster start in school.  When STEP is in session it’s the happiest place on earth.

Despite the uncertainty that has dominated 2020 & 2021, the Education Foundation of Indian River County (EFIRC) remains excitedly optimistic about the future.

At the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, we were able to quickly respond, providing an immediate gift of $60,000 to support student learning through and beyond the crisis.

While some of our long-term programs were impacted by the realities of the pandemic, in most cases, we’ve managed to continue moving forward, even increasing our level of funding for student learning.

Their education is our future. We appreciate your careful consideration of this opportunity to help our kids.

Thank you!

We will send a note to the individual/family and inform them of your gift.

Their education is our future. We appreciate your careful consideration of this opportunity to help our kids.
