Be a part of helping kids reach their potential

The Education Foundation of Indian River County aims to expand our board from five to eight members in 2021. We work very closely with the IRC School District to provide private support for meaningful educational programs that lack the public funding needed for implementation and operations.

Our signature programs include the Indian River County Science Fair and Step into Kindergarten, a Summer Pre-K experience in addition to smaller programs that target specific student needs. One example is at the beginning of the pandemic; we contributed $60K to the district to purchase Chome book computers for remote learning. You can get more information by visiting our website’s home page.

The majority of our funding comes from grants and our annual appeal. We are working to develop more fundraising channels to support our mission. We are also always looking for opportunities to help our students succeed.

We seek to grow and expand our impact in the community. A key element in achieving our goals is to add board members with a passion for education and a couple of hours a month to help kids.

The board meets on the second Tuesday of each month for 1 hour at noon.
